Stay
Foxfire Mtn House
We have the distinct joy of having Foxfire Mountain House all to ourselves from Sunday through Tuesday. We have hand-selected a room for each of you, and we truly hope you’ll join us for the full duration of the magic.
To keep things simple, Blake and Elisa will be managing all rooming logistics personally. An electronic invoice for your lodging will be sent from Foxfire to the email address provided in your RSVP approximately six weeks before the wedding.

Upstate Art Weekend
The eighth edition UAW’s flagship annual event brings together 160 artists, organizations, and audiences across the Hudson Valley and Catskills, inviting exploration of exhibitions, programs, and cultural spaces throughout the region. Upstate Art Weekend will be from Thursday, June 24th-Monday June 28th, 2027. Start our wedding weekend off by exploring this fantastic event!
Phoenicia
5 minutes down the road will take you to the small town of Phoenicia (pop. 268). Enjoy the curiosity shops, pick up some local honey, enjoy the antique flea market, or take a walk along the Esopus River.
World's Largest Kaleidoscope
A 13 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) will take you across the road to Emerson, where you will find a former grain silo that was converted into the world's largest kaleidoscope.

Woodstock
Woodstock is ~15 minutes away and one of our favorite small towns! Here you will find an abundance of art, music, amazing mom & pop shops, and the best chocolates we've ever had!
Fabulous Furniture
Steve Heller's quirky art studio is way more than a furniture store! Take a tour and you'll see 50 years of one-of-a-kind projects, including robots, custom modified cars, and beautiful wooden sculptures.

Take a ride on the nearby rail-bikes and pedal east alongside the Esopus Creek and past the sculpture park at the Mt Tremper Station.

QUESTIONS
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in will be at 4pm on Sunday, June 27th. Check-out is 11am SHARP on Tuesday, June 29th. We lose our security deposit if guests are not checked out by 11, so please give yourselves enough time after breakfast to pack up.
What is the dress code?
For our ceremony, think "Summer Garden Party." Bonus points for anything colorful, floral or whimsical. For the evening bonfires, bring your favorite cozy layers. Foxfire has beautiful but uneven terrain (grass, gravel, and vintage wood floors). We suggest leaving the thin heels at home and opting for a flat shoe, block heel, wedge, or boot.
What if I have special dietary needs?
Have you met Elisa's family?! Everyone has special dietary needs! Luckily Foxfire is the exclusive caterer and they are incredible with seasonal, local food. Please detail any allergies in your RSVP, and we will ensure the kitchen is prepared.
Can we take photos?
We paid for a very expensive photographer (and his name is Colby - please make friends!) so you can be fully present during the ceremony. We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony (so please keep your phones out of sight!), but feel free to snap away before and after!
Is there a party....after the party?
YES! We have Foxfire all to ourselves for the entire duration of our stay. And encourage everyone to get comfy and join us for late-night drinks and snacks around the bonfire after our reception dinner.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
No! If Foxfire sees any traces of outside alcohol (cans, bottles, etc), we lose our security deposit and we will be very sad. We'll order lots of good local brews and wine for everyone to enjoy at the bar and have some fun custom cocktails as well!
What is the cell phone reception like?
It is VERY limited. We have no service at all with Google Fi. Other networks may have some limited service. However, there is a good Wifi signal that is available all throughout the grounds. Info as follows: (network) foxfireguest, (password) foxfireguest. Think of this as a good opportunity to flex your social skills!
Anything else I need to know?!
Foxfire is a beautiful old inn on 10+ wooded acres. There are lawn games (bocce ball, corn hole, horseshoes) and we will set up some activities for everyone as well. Our greatest wish is for everyone to hang out, get to know each other, and enjoy this beautiful place with us.
